He is a mixed media type of guy. His experience includes mahi whakairo, painting and Māori design, applied to a variety of works.
Shane has participated in many exhibitions and has loads of experience creating from the heart. He has an affinity with Kaikaiāwaro and the many artforms of creation that express this atua/taniwha/kaitiaki. Shanes mahi can be found as interior designs in the Nelson Museum, on people’s walls, skin and in personal collections, all over the world.
He has had the great pleasure of being inspired and supported by kaumātua & artists, to name just a few, Lovey Kahupukoro, Margaret Kahupukoro, Nigel Ogle, Annie Hemi, Joe Macdonald, Brian Flintoff, the late Ian Macdonald and Frank Wells.
